Masters

A master is an individual that has been recorded as commanding a vessel at some point. If you know the name of the master, the primary search is by name, however you can also search by city, country, etc. in advanced search (more info on searching). Masters exist independently from ships, meaning that a master can be related to multiple ships or no ships at all.

If the master is related to something, that information can be seen by selecting the related data button on the left side menu, or by clicking the link at the top of the page. Masters can be related to:

  1. Ships - Lists all ships that this person has captained in their lifetime.
  2. Shipwrecks(Casualties) - Lists all ships that this person has captained that have been found wrecked.
